We believe that a lot of Mumbai's more traditional attractions can be found in the Colaba/Kala Ghoda/Fort area (where most tourists stay). Such as Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum, Marine Drive, CST station. We also find that with a half decent guidebook with map, most tourists prefer to explore the area in their own time and at their own pace on foot. There is little more that we can add which a guide book can't. Lonely Planet guide book for example has a very nice walking tour of the area.

Where we believe we can assist you is where you need a vehicle to get around and where the guide can mention his own personal knowledge and experiences. The focus of this tour is religion (so important to the lives of most Indians) and you look and learn about Hinduism, Islam and lesser known Jainism. Visually this is a nice tour, with Haji Ali located in the middle of the sea, and there are nice views from Mahalaxmi Temple and Hanging Gardens (over Marine Drive). The open air laundry and the Gandhi museum are located en route and are also very interesting.

All sights are in the Mahalaxmi/Malabar Hill area. Malabar Hill is about 15 minutes drive from Colaba.

All sightseeing tours are private tours and customized to you, so you can omit or add anything to the list.

We generally use the same route on our slum and sightseeing tour, so to save time and money you might want to do both on the same day (with a stop off for lunch).

As per all our tours, we have a NO TIPS POLICY. The guides are paid a good wage and are rewarded on the basis of the questionnaires which we will send to you after the tour.
